Role Overview:
- Reporting to the Microbiology Principal Scientist, the Microbiology Scientist will contribute to a variety of strategic microbiology research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating within a small, dynamic microbiology team.
- Taking ownership of specific deliverables within research projects.
- Designing and managing trials.
- Conducting sampling, sample analysis, and data interpretation.
- Preparing media and managing laboratory inventory.
- Developing and validating microbiological methods as required.
- Creating technical reports and presenting findings to team members and stakeholders.

- Teamwork: Strong ability to build effective teams within the Microbiology team and across the broader Monaghan Group.

- MSc in Microbiology (or equivalent) with at least two years of experience in microbiology research.
- Proven experience in delivering key microbiology research projects.
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including databases, Excel, Word, and statistical tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and presentation capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to remain impartial and objective.
