EHS Specialist 

The role: The QA Validation Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of Quality Assurance activities to ensure the product is manufactured in accordance with GMP and Regulatory requirements. The role will also include the review and approval of validation documentation and activities related to the qualification of the facility, equipment, and utilities to support start-up and on-going manufacturing. This role will be a key member of the Quality Assurance team, providing hands-on technical support and oversight for validation activities at the manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring that processes and equipment are validated and qualified according to industry regulations while guiding the implementation of the Site Validation Master Plan. This key role is an individual contributor role whereby the individual must be a self-starter with professional and academic experience in QA and Validation activities. Responsible for providing technical leadership to solving technical problems for the operations team. A core element of the role is to manage the development of the engineering competencies with direct reports, and also the remaining operations engineers in the Limerick facility. About Sean
Sean Byrne is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Galway, bringing over 28 years of experience in the Pharma, Biopharma, and Medical Device sectors. Before joining Sterling, Sean held senior leadership positions within several Site Leadership Teams at Baxter Healthcare, Abbott Vascular, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, and most recently, AbbVie, where he served as the Site Engineering Director at the Westport facility.
At Sterling Engineering, Sean specialises in engineering operations management, provides expert consultation to global companies within the life sciences sector and the ability to take on/lead projects/deliverables for clients that may not have internal capacity. Sean's expertise and knowledge enable clients to make better-informed decisions and achieve superior outcomes.
