We are currently recruiting for our Monaghan client who is actively hiring for a Facilities and Environmental Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Westmeath.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and project manage all CAPEX projects associated with building upgrades, installations, refurbishments and new equipment associated with facilities
- Lead and manage preventive maintenance, repairs of facilities and support equipment such as chillers, compressors etc
- Supervising and training facilities engineering staf
- Managing budgets and contracts for facilities maintenance, engineering and environmental services
- Coordinating with production, quality, and safety managers to optimize plant performance and efficiency
- Monitoring and reporting on environmental indicators, such as water usage, carbon footprint, and wate recycling rates
- Maintaining and continuously improving an environmental management systems which meets the requirement of ISO 14001
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for waste management, recycling, and energy efficiency
- Conducting environmental audits and inspections to identify and resolve any issues or risks
- Liaising with external stakeholders, such as regulators, customers, and suppliers, on environmental matters
To be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a facilities manager or similar role in an injection moulding or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and environmental managementFamiliarity with health and safety regulations and standards
- Proven Project Management capability
- Excellent organizational, communication, project management and leadership skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
