We are recruiting on behalf of a client in Sligo seeking an EHS Specialist for their medical device manufacturing site. This role is on a contract basis and focuses on contractor management, daily EHS activities, and ISO standards compliance, with significant involvement in environmental licensing and sampling/compliance management

We are recruiting on behalf of a client in Sligo seeking an EHS Specialist for their medical device manufacturing site. This role is on a contract basis and focuses on contractor management, daily EHS activities, and ISO standards compliance, with significant involvement in environmental licensing and sampling/compliance management
Responsibilities:
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies, standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Incident Management: Assist in incident and accident investigations, providing EHS support for change management processes.
- Documentation & Procedures: Prepare, implement, and review EHS procedures to align with site activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Risk & Safety Analysis: Provide technical support for risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) programs on site.
- Metrics & Reporting: Gather and report EHS metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Training & Audits: Develop and deliver EHS training programs, conduct routine walkdowns, audits, and program reviews to maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience in an EHS role within a regulated environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
- Competencies: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach and sound judgment.
- Multitasking & Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
